Once upon a time, somewhere between 1983 and 1985 a young boy named Ross wanted to be a fashion designer. Like most boys his age, the 80s was a time of funky clothing and Ross’s style was no different. However, before we get to the happy ever after, where he built his picket fence with his princess and 6 children (YES! Six, including a set of twins!!!!), we must take you on a bit of a journey….

You see, the 80s set the path for men to be whoever they wanted to be. The only problem facing our boys during this time, was that their parents were still living in the 70s, and it was just not “cool” for a man in the day to be a fashion engineer. So Ross’s dad did what ever other father of the day had done, and put his son in a job where he had no choice but to “ManUp”!

He packed Ross his esky, hot thermos and cold chips, and the building site became Ross’s second home. A tradie by nature, he was never able to take the designer out of the boy, and so, after 30 something years, building, bricklaying, digging and concreting, it was time for Ross to fully ManUp and persue his childhood dream.

Sick of underwear that rode up, rolled down, got sweaty in summer and wet during winter, Ross came up with an ingenious design of men’s undies that were perfect for our Aussie tradies. What he didn’t realise at the time, was that his design was so perfect, that the rest of the nation and non-tradies caught on.

It was here where he captured the heart of the International market, and Man Up DownUnder was born!
