More About E Newton Photography

Experienced Maternity, Newborn and Cake Smash Photographer serving the greater Dallas and Fort Worth area. Having been in the industry for the last 12 years, I've seen the changes with technology, posing and the overall understanding of safety, especially in newborn photography. It has been a joy to be a part of the development of photography, no pun intended. I'm constantly improving my processes, educating myself on how to better and more efficiently serve my clientele, plus challenging myself to push the creative limits. I love going above and beyond for a client's vision. I never say "no" when it comes to a unique request. Cake Smash has always been my favorite to photograph. I completely design the backdrop, props and balloon garland for each request. Every single set of mine is unique. Most photographers I know purchase a pre-made vinyl backdrop with props printed on it for their Cake Smashes. But how many others have used the exact same thing? I create for my clients and they love me for it. There's also so much joy in watching a small child try cake and smear it absolutely everywhere. I've found frosting in the studio in places you wouldn't even imagine. Some of these babies get so covered in sweets and then make a run for it, so the heat registers, walls, props, everything is in danger of being covered in a sugary mess! It's great to be a part of. Then I dunk them in a miniature clawfoot tubby to get great splashing pictures plus wash them up before they have to sit in their carseat to go home. I've been a one woman show for the last eight years. Just recently, my husband has been able to step in a little more and help me with the backend of the business, but for the most part I run everything myself. Client communication, ordering for sessions, prepping and cleaning the studio, photographing my clients, editing the sessions, marketing, social media updates, absolutely everything has been done on my own. And I've learned so much from it! I hate when I hear that "photographers just click a button". Running a business is much, much more than that. I strive to create a memorable experience for each one of my clients to keep them coming back for more! This isn't a "one and done" kind of thing. I make clients for life where I watch their family grow over the years. Making those kinds of connections is my favorite part of my job.
